The approximately 510 inhabitants of the municipality, surrounded by forests, meadows and fields, appreciate the central location in the heart of the Eifel. The immediate proximity to the Nürburgring, the Ahr, the Rhine and moselle as well as the "Hohe Acht" (747 m), the highest elevation of the Eifel, offers an ideal environment for motorsport fans as well as those seeking relaxation.
At an altitude of 440 m above sea level. The 305 souls community, which is strongly influenced by agriculture, nestles harmoniously in the idyllic Eifel landscape. Finds from Roman times suggest a settlement in antiquity and even today the community offers a high recreational value for residents and guests.
The Falkleymühle campsite is idyllically nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Vordereifel in the valley of the nice river below the village of Langscheid.
The local community Lind with about 50 inhabitants is located in the western part of the association community Vordereifel at an altitude of 470 m above sea level, in close proximity to the districts of Vulkaneifel and Ahrweiler. The Josefskapelle, located in the center of the village, was built in 1858 on the ruins of an older chapel.
The local community Langscheid with around 90 inhabitants is located 500 m above sea level in a wooded low mountain range. The highest point is the “Wabelsberg” nature reserve with its unique heather garden, which provides information about the flora typical of the heath. After a hike through the juniper heaths and their unspoilt nature, the “Wabelsberger Wacholderhütte” invites you to rest.
