On the Day of Open Monuments, Sunday, September 14, the Rhenish Association invites you to discover the castle and its history. Rudolf Conrads, chairman of the Rhenish Association, will lead a tour of the site. The meeting point is in the courtyard of the castle ruins.

The juniper heaths in Arft, Langscheid or Virneburg, among others, are a real "insider tip" of the Vordereifel. Today they are home to a variety of protected animal and plant species, which can be explored on a guided tour with the Wacholderwacht Osteifel.
