Acht

Today's St. Hubertus Chapel, built in 1826, is centrally located in the center of the community of Acht at the corner of Hauptstraße and Am Kirchweg. In recent years, the chapel has been lovingly restored as part of a large number of building measures and is now a neat eye-catcher in the middle of the village.

Kath. Pfarrkirche St. Quirinus ("Eifeldom") in Langenfeld

The Catholic parish church of St. Quirinius in Langenfeld is popularly called "Eifeldom" due to its imposing size. It was built between 1894 and 1898 and is inextricably linked to the name of Father Thewes, who came to Langenfeld in 1884. With all his strength he enforces the construction of the present parish church, even without the permission of the authority in Trier. The church was blessed on 16.09.1899 and consecrated on 10.05.1900.

Hochsimmerturm Ettringen

The "Hochsimmerturm" is an 18 m high observation tower on the mountain of the same name "Hochsimmer", which rises near the municipality of Ettringen. The "Hochsimmerturm" was built between 1909 and 1911 by the "Eifelverein Mayen" and stands on the eastern tip (583.3 m above sea level) of the "Hochsimmer".

Wallfahrtskapelle "St. Jost" in Langenfeld

St.Jost is a part of the village Langenfeld and lays in the romantical Nitztal beside the old mill it gives at the river Nitz the pilgrimage chapel St.Jost.It is dedicated to the holy Jodukus.

Kirche "St. Aegidius" in Anschau

The Roman Catholic church of St. Aegidius in Anschau is located on the corner of Dorfstraße /Talstraße and is a branch church of the parish of Nachtsheim.

Pfarrkirche "St. Kastor" in Weiler

The baroque church was built in 1727 as a hall building made of plastered quarry stone. After the population in Weiler grew steadily until 1906, plans for a church expansion were drawn up by baumeister Rüppel from Bonn. The church was to be extended with basalt stones by the addition of a transept and a choir room in neo-Gothic style, along with sacristy buildings. In 1909 the "new" church could be solemnly consecrated. Particularly worth seeing is the Marienaltar, which was taken over from the "old" church.
