The approximately 1.7-kilometer-long “Kottenheimer Wichtelweg,” organized by the “gemeinsam für kottenheim” association, will be open to explorers of all ages from November 15, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
On opening day, the trail will be illuminated in the evening—don’t forget your flashlight—and toward the end of the loop, at the Wäenloft-Hött, there will be sausages and delicious mulled wine or children’s punch for all hungry hikers. Please bring your own cup.
Parking is available at the signposted Kottenheimer Winnfeld hiking parking lot on the K20 between Kottenheim and Ettringen; from there, simply follow the signs to the “Kottenheimer Wunderwald.”
