As part of our ongoing project "Researchers on the Go," we are excited to offer the Grasshopper Certificate – a special nature badge developed by the University of Bonn (Subject Didactics Biology). This certificate is a great opportunity for all age groups to get to know the local nature better, explore it playfully, and actively engage in the protection of animals and plants.

What is the Grasshopper Certificate? The Grasshopper Certificate is more than just an award: it is a researcher badge that you can earn by completing various exciting tasks related to nature. It involves discovering, observing, and understanding plants, animals, and their habitats.

Upon successful completion of the tasks, you will receive:
– An official certificate confirming your achievements
– A patch that you can attach to clothing, backpack, or bag
– a visible sign of your nature expertise and commitment

Who is the certificate suitable for?
The Grasshopper Certificate is generally open to all age groups – from children to teenagers to adults. It fosters curiosity, a spirit of discovery, and a connection to nature in both young and old.

Our Start: The First Pilot Date
We will start with a group of children aged 7 to 12 years.
The first date will take place on: May 9, 2026

Feel free to be active before the date: Bring us a wildflower that you found in your garden or in nature (e.g., a daisy or dandelion – one bloom is enough). This way, we can start with an exciting discovery right away!
