On Thursday, July 23, 2026, this after-work hike invites you to a relaxed end of the day in the midst of nature around Virneburg. The meeting point is at 6:30 PM at the hiking parking lot near the community center in Virneburg.

The approximately 3.5-kilometer route of the dream trail "Virneburger Burgblick" takes about 1.5 hours and leads around the impressive castle ruins and along the idyllic Nitzbach stream. An elevation gain of about 135 meters has to be tackled.

A special highlight is the visit to the castle ruins, where exciting stories from the Middle Ages come to life and provide insight into past times. The hike combines nature experience with regional history and is ideal for everyone who wants to spend their evening actively and yet relaxed.
